I am now about three months in on the kit from Carstuffconnection (Xenon Depot kit w/ upgraded Philips bulbs) with ZERO issues...got the capacitors/Canbus links from them for free. Coming out of a kit from Opt7 that was complete junk, I am very happy so far.

I had nothing but issues with the HID kits in the 15 Yukon. After spending almost $200 on the kit from kbcarstuff with Phillips bulbs and then shipping to replace defective parts, I gave up. I ended up going with Silverstars for a few months but missed the crisp white light.

I ended up saying eff it and ordered some fanless led lights. They use the factory plug and that's it. They fit in the headlight enclosure and work flawless. They aren't as bright as the HID, but they are as bright as the Silverstars and were $45 shipped. They are the leds that use the ribbons for cooling. In very happy now!

I had the KBcarstuff hids installed for about 2 weeks when one failed. They are shipping out a replacement ballast, but not sure I can be bothered with the hassle of putting them back in. Seems aftermarket HID's have serious reliability issues and it's the luck of the draw if you get two reliable ones.

I looked at those LED's but was concerned about the brightness and if they would fit with the dust cap. Did you still have to cut space in the dust cap to get them to fit?

They are plenty bright, not as bright as HID, but as I said, brighter than the silverStar headlights I had to replace the HIDs. Here are a couple of pictures to show what they look like. The install was a breeze and everything fit in the enclosure with the cap on. The copper ribbons were still able to be spread out even with the call on.

Can you provide me with the information as to where and how much you got them for? How's the quality of them?

Great quality, they are very well built. I purchased them from a sender I had dealt with previously. Here is the link, but it looks like they are out of stock right now.

I actually reached out to the manufacturer and an thinking about buying some from them to resell. I have to order 100 sets but the wholesale price is great. Maybe we can get some people together to do a bulk buy.

What about DRL and the headlight getting a lower voltage? Any headlight errors due to lower wattage?

Thanks
