So, I previously owned a 2008 Chevy Tahoe LT. I changed the radio out to a Kenwood system with remote, so that I could have a remote, blue tooth and be able to use the factory steering wheel controls.

I just sold it and purchased a used 2015 Tahoe LT and this radio system is the one that "rolls up" and has a "touch menu screen' with the audio, phone, Pandora, Settings and a few other icons and rear view camera. How do I identify which model radio this is?

I have tried multiple times to hook up my 6th generation Apple iTouch, using the USB, with no results. The "media"button, will not recognize it. I talked to the service guy at the dealer where I purchased it and he told me that the 2015 LT Tahoe does not have this capability. Is this true?

The only way the iTouch works is using a double male 3.5mm plug.

Is there an aftermarket radio system available, that retains all the factory functionalities, using the steering wheel controls, blue tooth, roll up capability of the screen, rear view camera and still maintains all the factory functions and a remote control?

Hi Allen - congrats on your new Tahoe.

If you don't have navigation, then you have the IO5 MyLink system. If you have navigation, then you have the IO6 MyLink.

This s is the first I've heard of this, but after reading the owners manual, MyLink only works with 1st and 2nd gen iPods. <shaking my head in amazement>

No, unfortunately not yet. In fact, some folks on here have tried without much success. I believe one of the major issues is bypassing the Bose sub? Search around the forums and you'll find some threads on this.

Keep an eye out on Alpines site - I hear they're working on a restyle kit for the new body style Tahoes, but have no idea when they'll be out.

Good luck!

Hi John,

thanks for the information....I even stopped by one of my local dealers and he didn't know what model number the radio was.

I left the factory and replace everything else. I have a 2015i and the ipad and ipod touch I have have stayed hooked up and work perfectly. Then I use BT for Pandora from my S7 and phone. Upgrading the HMI module to the 2.5 Version MVI programs will be the next add. Do a search for them on here.

Thanks for your reply.

I have tried multiple times and not as fortunate as you are...
