Well, how was it fixed before, unless it is a secret and what year and engine? Best to put vehicle info in your signature so people don't have to guess.
I see 2015 to 2017 is a 5.3 but 2018 to 2020 had the option for 6.2 L.

yes more information is needed, we cant just "guess". I mean we can but that's just diving down a rabbit hole and leads to completely irrelevant information.

Ok. Since that had to have been tied to a loud tapping/ticking noise, are you hearing the same noise? Also, how many miles on this engine and how many miles since that was repaired? Have you had any other work done to the engine recently?

No tapping just a real rough idle and jerking 90k on it now was fix at about 88k
