Been awhile since I have thought long and hard about whether to buy American. I really like these newly designed vehicles. My question is weather they will hold there value when I go to trade it in in five to six years? I know GM does a lot better than Ford. I am not really liking the new expedition....it just looks like the same old thing.

Any thoughts would be appreciated, I am trying not to end up in a Toyota Sienna AWD. Thanks

Brand new 2007 Yukon in 2006 was $34,675 – $47,780. Same 2007 Yukon trade in right now with 110,000 miles is $13,000 - $16,000

No new vehicle will hold it's value after five to six years if you put miles on it.

In 2001, we bought a 2001 GMC Yukon SLT loaded, Leather sunroof heated seats everything. Payed $36,000 or so for it.
In 2007 i was offered $6500 as a trade in
Held out and sold it private party for $7500
That was after about 2 months on Auto Trader

It will hold up as good as it can if you take care of it. Right now the GM SUV's and pickups are in high demand. If the economy goes to shit and gas prices reach $4-5 again, don't plan on making money.

I have been looking around for a GM SUV for the GF and they seem to hold their value around here.

Was it in a serious accident or something? Depreciation is one thing, but that offer was something else altogether.
