I've seen a few photos of the new expedition and am not sure it does much for me, need to check out the navigator. One could likely get a heck of a deal on current style Exp/nav at the end of this year I'd imagine.

As much as I like the interior and exterior styling of the Tahoe/Yukon, I'm having serious reservations about jumping into one of these things given all I've seen, and not just here either. My last GM 1500 pickup was an absolute piece of garbage that never shifted correctly and made some really abnormal tranny/torque converter sounds, in addition to all the typical feelings and characteristics that you all have experienced when it shifts in and out of 4 cyl mode. Not sure it makes much sense to try that power train again here with these suv's, given the other known vibration/buffeting issues that are present.

I am not sure between the yukon and expedition but I feel the expedition has a much better more complete look compared to chevy's front. The rear is so so but overall not bad and will hold judgment until I drive one. I'm sure the ride will be great given the IRS.

Outside of the wheels, the talk surrounding the navigator is very high with tons of tech.

I'm sure a lot of it is due to the bad experience with our 15 yukon, but the 18 Expy looks and sounds good to me.

i agree, after doing extensive research the 18 Expy may be the vehicle i move too. I love the look of the tahoe/yukon but i am not that patient to deal with issues. The new ford looks better than than the current model as far as looks go.

I've sent a certified letter to GM which states the following - "the final attempt to repair my Denali has not solved the issue. The vehicle has had a total of 7 tires replaced in 4,000 miles. This has not solved the issue of the low speed vibration and buffeting issues. At this point, I expect a written offer to purchase this vehicle back. Short of that, I will retain an attorney and pursue litigation under the GA Lemon Law guidelines. You have 7 business days to advise your intentions."

Was the shorty you had a loaner from the dealer? They should've swapped the wheels and tires from it onto your XL for testing purposes. It would be a simple and quick way to prove their side that the wheels and/or tires were bad or prove your side that the problem is elsewhere.

That's way too logical.... and yes it was a pre owned shorty.

Keep us posted on the response you get, if any. Hopefully they will do the right thing and buy it back.

Yup. When my Denali is parked in the driveway, it is a great truck! lol
Driving it is still fun, albeit some odd tranny issues and the need to place it in manual 7.
The new Expy's don't do much for me, but the new Navigator's are nice. I had a 2009 EL and the 2016 models still looked just like them.
I just rode in my friends new Explorer last night and must admit that thing is nice. The stereo blew me away!
Yeah, I'm probably 75% on board with a Navi next year unless GMC pulls something new out. And would I even trust that at this point?
