I haven't experienced this but talked to a few people that have. It seems that some tech at a dealer discovered by accident that if the door seal gaskets are "compromised" and leak, too much air can enter the cabin and create a high pressure condition in the rear of the cabin...causing the "buffeting" and ear pain that some are experiencing. This makes sense to me...I have at times accidentally opened the rear door windows a bit at speed and the pressure nearly blows my ear drums out.

Take a look at all 4 of the door seal gaskets on your truck looking for anything that might allow a leak.If you have a moon/sun roof...check that gasket as well. You might also try some silicone gasket dressing to soften the gaskets. Make sure all of the windows are closed tightly.

I guess I'm lucky my Yukon doesn't have this issue...I have driven it over 130 MPH at times and have never had the problem.

Good luck with this.

How can I go about negotiating a loaner Yukon while mine is in for repair? Will being a "Denali" owner give me any leverage? Lastly, should I bring up the bulletins regarding rough idle and such to the dealership or allow them to bring them up to me?

I always wonder about all these problems on these trucks and I see the commercial with the J.D.Powers Award 3 or 4 years running. Is it just people been picky or what?
I'm in Long Island NY and I go to Basketball Games every weekend.
The parking lots is Full of GM & GMC trucks. They ruled around here.
My truck was built August 2016 in Texas. How many other factories are there? Can they narrow it down to a certain place...
I would love to meet with some owners on a weekend to test drive each other's truck just to see.

The triplets all made this unfortunate list

There is a lengthy bulletin or PI about the idle shake. The dealer should address that, it may improve the vibration at 35-45 also. The 75 mph vibration probably is something else. Your comment about it feeling like rumble strips makes me suspect a torque converter shudder. More common with the 8 speed transmission but sometimes occurs with the 6 speed. If it is not caused by the torque converter it probably is tires.

I get a loaner everytime I drop my Yukon off no questions asked. They give me a Yukon, Tahoe or suburban. If they dealer doesn't have one they can loan me they send me to enterprise. I bought the extended warranty, but I was told by my dealership that it's standard practice to get a rental when you have a Denali. I'm also doing the whole lemon law thing right now but for many other reasons not the buffering. I hired a attorney to handle it.

I had a BMW before I bought my Tahoe. Out of the 2 years I had the car it was in the shop for a total of 1-1/2 years. So to fight with the lemon law with the car manufacture I ended up going on google found what website had the most complaints printed them out with my list of troubles I had on my car and within 30 days they bought my car back. I ended up with my Tahoe and will never buy another car. So if you really hate it and you feel it is a serious problem go online find the major complaints with your list of your own complaints, print them all out, go back to car manufacture directly and have it out with them. BTW - I had 44 pages of complaints on one website I printed out and they had nothing to say. Good Luck

Thanks everyone. Just disappointed more so in myself than anything. I knew it could be a possibility but I was so excited to get into the XL. This was my trade b2286b76c5f19679d0b529730787cc52.jpg

I know it was the swb, but did you have any issues with your 15? It shouldn't be the case, but I bet your oem tires are junk and can't get balanced low enough to band-aid the problem. There is something with a lot of these trucks that very little input from road/chassis creates the buffeting/vibration/pressure issues. When our font rotors started warping (only slightly warping), it would cause the horrific buffeting/pressure when braking.

Until we replaced our tires, i could hardly drive our XL....would get headache and sick feeling within 15min. My wife would seldom notice anything while two of my three kids would complain of feeling sick. As others have stated, GM customer service is a joke and will act as if they've never heard of such issues.

I have heard these vehicles are one of the most ever "bought back" vehicles by GM.

It makes me physically ill to drive the vehicle as well. My kids as well.... tried to upload a video but it's too large.
