I’m at a loss of what to try next ….a little history.
2016 Yukon Denali 6.2 the AFM lifter went bad so I decided to use a Texas Speed kit to delete it. I also have a Black Bear tune on it.
Here is what I had the shop install.

Texas Speed & Performance Gen 5 LT1, LT, L83, & L86 DOD Delete Kit
25-LT1DODDEL- KIT
: Incudes DoD Plugs for All trucks 14-18
• Include GM Gen 5 Head Bolt Kit (25-LT1HB.
KIT)
: 16 Delphi LS7 style lifters 262534199)
Includes GM 6.2 Head Gaskets 2812688186)
  • Include GM Valley Cover Gasket (28-12623: 04)
  • GM Wet Sump Bolt, Trucks/Non-Z51 Cars
    (28-12557840)
  • Include GM Exhaust Manifold Gaskets (28-12657093)
  • Include VT Cam Bolt for 2014-18 LT (28-12681018)
  • TSP OEM-Style Non-DOD L86 Camshaft w/ WT: 200/208.541"/.529" 116.5+2.5 (25-tspL86stockcam)
Ever since the work was done, I get a check engine light with code P06DD - Engine oil pressure control circuit performance/ stuck off. This control circuit is part of the oil pump. The shop checked it out, oil pressure is good. So we decided to install another factory GM oil pump since we figured the first on was bad. (Also a GM pump).
Unfortunately I get the same code after installing the 2nd new pump and solenoid assembly.
I talked to both Texas Speed and Black Bear and they say it’s nothing to do with their product.
Any ideas on what the problem might be or what we should try next?
Thanks in advance for your help.

I know this is a rudimentary suggestion but recheck the connection at the solenoid. Might not be making a good connection. Does the pressure drop low at idle? Did you go with a stock pump or the Melling 10296? It gives a little bit more volume at idle. Might want to give that a try if all else fails.

I did the same thing with my 2016 Tahoe. The only difference is I went with an HP tune that TSP recommended and I installed a new high flow oil pump that was recommended also. Switch out that GM oil pump for a Melling high volume oil pump and see if that solves the issue.

Thanks for the suggestions…. I’ll ask TSP about the Mellings pump.
Frustratingly I already put 2 new GM pumps in already.
