So, my wife doesn't use the side mirrors to back up........and then she was worried about the excited dog running around. Commence the backing up process.......they are 'supposedly' break away mirrors. But, you have to catch the whole mirror I guess, not the outer edge. I got a text about an Oops! Well, I tried to reassemble when I got home and it was totally effed. She got er good, all the gears were stripped and nothing worked.
So, $570 later I have a new mirror to install...
Here's what I found to be the process:
1. Look on YouTube for door panel removal. Check. It's nice that it's (5) 7mm bolts and the quick clips.
2. Remove door panel and let it dangle
3. Partially remove window trim and remove (3) 10 mm bolts and 1 wire harness connector
4. Install new mirror. Clip window trim back into place and use a pick or small screw driver to run the gasket over the edge. You have to clip it by the window first and roll it up.
5. Test - all is well
6. Try putting door panel on and cuss out engineers......then put on my engineering cap and think manufacturing process
6. Remove window gasket and 5 clips from door panel. Gasket is tapered on both ends and is impossible to get back on while trying to keep the lock rod on. Also, it has to sneak over the door and under the window trim piece.
7. Install clips on door with gasket
8. Line up lock rod, cuss some more, and then weasel it into place starting with the mirror side first.
9. Cluck all the clips in, them give the top a couple smacks to lock in he clips for the window gasket.
10. Viola! You have a new mirror to break off!!!

As a shout out to @DuraYuk , they have made improvmen over the generations for better fit and finish. It's not as easy as the older ones, but it's a nicer overall fit and finish. Just have to learn the tricks.
