Well, the GMC is professional grade! If those were in my stable, I would hook them both up to GDS2 software and make a comparison between engine readings.

Yes Sir
Tahoe has the towing package and the 3.42 axle.
Would that explain the "lazy" throttle response?
I completely agree, they are all different and one needs to thoroughly test drive each. Styling also plays a role in preference and there’s a few more options in similar trim Yukon vs. Tahoe.I've rented several (6-7) of these in tahoe/yukon platform. Standard and XL. Everyone of them have been different. Some shifted flawlessly and ran like a top. Others were clunky and I really disliked the way the drove. It seems its just the luck of the draw. I'm not sure that anything was "wrong" with any of them, I just think some trucks are better than others, depending on lots of factors.
In theory, the 3.42 should be peppier, but in reality every truck is different. Drive 2 identical trucks, and 1 will be faster. I have not found the 3.08 to be slow with stock tire size either - it has adapted to my style. Which do you drive more?
