2019 Tahoe HDMI question..

Sorry if this has been discussed before but I just bought a 2019 Tahoe premier with no manual I was curious when you plug something to the HDMI PORT does the sound only come out the headphones or can you make it come out the speakers in the car also ? I couldn’t find an answer online.

The main head unit has a setting to allow the HDMI input to connect to all speakers. The head phone jack works regardless of what setting for sound that the main head unit is set on.

Note that when in motion the main head unit won't show the picture of whatever is on the HDMI input but it continues playing through the vehicle speakers.
