Resale value on these 18 and up expedition is going to pretty bad if they keep unloading it to fleets.
I expect in a year or so, a comparable expedition in mileage to a Tahoe will be about 5 to 8k less.
At least.

Do they sell a lot to fleets? I travel a lot and always have the option to rent a Tahoe/sub and almost always get picked up in a suburban livery.

I always figured gmc/chevy did more fleet sales because they proved more reliable for the fleet company. Maybe I’m wrong.

Ford knows that they have a window of opportunity, between 2018 and 2020 before the next set of triplets is born. One of the only ways that I think would work is letting the vehicle go to Rental Fleets. This way a lot of people have the potential to judge for themselves what the Expedition is all about. I know I would never have driven one unless it was rented. In the Expedition I just rented, the stop start feature was there, but what I hear about the new style GM triplets, you cannot turn off that feature. Of course you can always get a tune for that. One of the things about America that I so jealous of is that you can get much better leasing terms so in 3 years or so, a lot of these vehicles will probably be on the market.
