2020 snowflakes on 2008, tire pressure sensors

It checks for a signal from time to time and if it doesn’t get one, guess what? The light comes back on. It’s the same as the batteries in your sensors going dead.

The light will come on and start flashing again in about 25 miles. There's no way around it- the computer wants to see a valid signal indicating an expected range of pressure. Either have the sensors swapped out or get that emulator box.

What’s odd is, a friend had a relearn tool, he brought it over one day last week and I programmed the driver front tire one time and would not read any other tires. That was before I learned that the sensors were different frequencies. I wonder why it read that one tire.

Got in my ride and light was off, had psi on all four corners. After several miles light came back on and psi was dash lines on all four corners. Light stayed on for three or four days and today it was back off with tire psi on all corners.

It’s probably going back to the last learned pressure. I’d be willing to bet that if you let air out of a tire the readings wouldn’t change. It will eventually fail completely imo.

I agree with this.

Either get the proper sensors put in the wheels or just ignore the dash lights and readings.

The new sensors are just not compatible with the older vehicles.

This is what mine does. On a brighter note, I just scooped up four brand new Schrader sensors for $25 because a guy couldn't get them programmed to his Jeep and ended up getting OEM ones from the dealer. They're universal and need to be programmed to work on whichever frequency the car uses (433MHz or 315MHz). His Jeep is only a couple years old so it's 433MHz. I'm hoping they're set for 315MHz and will work as-is for my Tahoe.
