I have a 2021 Z71, everytime I set the ride height above normal it will not stay locked in either because I went over 50 mph or I restarted the engine. I wish there was an manual option where I can choose my ride height and it won't change unless I manually change it. Does this exist? I love the ability to change the ride height but I hate that it will always go back to normal. I also don't want the driving mode to restrict my height choices, I want to raise it to the max while in 2x4 for example. Maybe an after market mod? Anyone else annoyed by this?

Its a programmed function by the OEM. It assumes that you are no longer going off-road when doing 50, and lowers the suspension to standard. This is a fuel saving feature for the OEM.

I get the reasons why they did it, I want to override that logic, I want to control the height my self.

that is also a safety feature, as higher vehicles have higher roll over rates...:)

years ago, i had a Power Wagon (same for rubicon jeeps) and individuals were making plug n play harness that fooled the vehicle so we could use the sway disconnect feature at higher speeds or even when not in 4wd.

i am sure you probably have 2 options,

1. being just that, have a wiring specialist look at a schematic and build a harness
2. check with a local dealer TECH, not service or others...ASK A A TECH who regullarly uses a flash device and see if it is an option to change...there are endless options for programming, if the right tech is looking hard enough
