I just towed a fully loaded 6000# 25ft RV Travel Trailer for about 5000 miles with a new 2022 Tahoe C71 with Air Suspension and Tow package and the 5.3. From the Northeast to Kansas to Florida and back to the Northeast. I've had the RV for 3 years and done about 10000 miles so I know how it behaved before the Tahoe.

The Tow package is great with the integrated controller and makes it easier.
Climbing Mountains and hills is easy with the Tahoe. Air suspension gets rid of the squat.
The integrated sway controller is all marketing and a joke. You'll get killed if you rely on it. You'll still need to buy a WDH and a physical sway controller hitch.
Driving on flats on straight highways, the Tahoe likes to drift and sway, especially in Tow Mode. I used it only for climbing and descending hills. Rest of the time, I stayed in Sports mode which stiffened up the suspension.

Previous Tow Vehicle was an Audi Q7 3.0 which has a tow capacity of 7700# with no WDH and I installed electronic sway controller. Sway control rarely activated and only challenge was keeping it under 80 on the flats. Winds and passing semis were nothing. I thought the Tahoe was going to be better so I set out on my trip with same electronic sway controller.

Tahoe's Tow mode provided the worse driving experience going thru the mountains of PA. So bad my wife refused to drive it. So I white knuckled it and had to slow down. Experimenting with the car, I figured out sports mode helped with the sway and I inflated the tires to try to stiffen up the sidewalls.

I was desperate and ended up going expensive and had a Propride 3p hitch installed in Florida. The trip back to the North East was a breeze.

So its a great tow vehicle, after installing a $3500 hitch.

I know this is a couple weeks old, but one thing not mentioned, you lose the 2 speed transfer case as well. Might not be a big issue for you, but that is the main reason I want Max Tow on my 4wd duramax. They don't make the duramax in the Z71 or AT4 trims, so had to piece it together as best I could on an SLT.

IMO and I don’t thinks it’s been mentioned but Max Tow also gets you the 2 speed xfer case for both 4h and 4low. Without I think it’s just 4h. Don’t forget the oversized oil cooler I believe as well…. Max tow all the way!

I have a 2022 Yukon XL Denali 4wd. NO max tow and it comes with the transfer case 2-speed (exact wording on the build sheet)

Hi folks just wanted to add an update on my experience towing with our 2022 Yukon XL 6.2L. No tow package so added a Curt Spectrum brake controller
Trailer is about 7200-7300 lbs loaded. 33 foot length
Weight distribution hitch is a Husky TS Centerline.
1" sag in the rear and 1/4" higher in the front.

Towed it 350km each way this past weekend. one way was a beautiful day and towed like a dream. No issues lots of power, on way home it was a windy day and could feel the wind really pushing the truck and trailer side to side but that's to be expected.
driving at about 100-110km/hr I averaged 28.5L/100km =8.25MPG (our landscape has lots of hills)
also the transmission temperature didn't go any higher then 85 deg C and it was about 30 deg C exterior temperature

hope this can help someone else who is wondering about towing.

Very helpful to know this - thank you for posting. I haul a 32' camper that weighs about the same as yours with a 2012 XL Denali, and have been wondering how well a new one would do with a similar setup. Do you have the air ride suspension on yours?

I find the 6.2 to be plenty of motor for the job.

No air ride just the magnetic suspension. Very nice ride on the highway. Lots of power in the 6.2L obviously pretty pricey but that is expected. only 330Km to a tank

What is the absolute MAX range of GVWR on a travel trailer for an '22 RST 4wd with 6.2 knowing capacity sits at 7600 that you would feel comfortable towing?

Most of that usage will be used within 250mi of Southern CA.
