My dealer let me do 3k deposit, but clearly stated “Non Refundable “ !
They don’t want to waste their time with people who are constantly fishing for better arrangements...My dealer said they get multiple calls a day on the same units, and everyone is supposedly serious! Non refundable makes sure they are really serious....

I would check and see if its been accepted by GM....try to get the number status....I think they’ll let you out of the deposit but that’s bigger than normal. My Denali deposit is just 1k. Same issue though, stuck at 2200 or something (likely part issue in Denali Ultimate package)

I was recently in Detroit for work and spoke to a local connected to GM. He was saying to keep things rolling and people working they are building trucks, then pulling the control box(with the chip issue) out and building the next truck. They keep swapping parts from one truck to the next. They have a huge lot full of trucks all ready to go, all missing a control box. Once they come in, they will replace them all and push them out.
So, let’s outsource to China, great idea.

One of my buddies ordered his dually sierrra back in September last year, and it just got to the assembly line step yesterday. After reading about them building trucks and then letting them sit without controllers, even 7 months might not be enough time in his case.

Thats good insight-thanks.

I'm assuming if there are an influx of chips sent to GM over the new few months that there will be a ton of vehicles hitting the lots? I wonder if the majority of "In Transit" listed on Chevy website are awaiting chips/box.

Well I gave up...really wanted an Escalade (owned alot of Denalis and Escalades). Talked to my local Dealer Principal and friend and he told me to find something else. He has all 3 brands, Cadillac, GMC, and Cheby and cannot even order a Denali or Escalade with Air Ride. He said the GM supply chain is so F'd up and they cannot get answers from their upper level Division Mgr anymore. All fleet sales have been cancelled and they may get a Denali order dropped in but again, no air ride. Never seen it this bad he said. And I came across a fully loaded Cadillac Platinum with every option (yes even SC and Night Vision) at a dealer about an hour away, and available, and those ass clowns added an Admin Fee of $12k. I offered to write them a check for MSRP less my supplier discount and they laughed, it would have been about $102k plus taxes. I would never pay MSRP or even close to it since I have always had Supplier Pricing (Escalade is about -$5500 off MSRP). No ******* way I am paying List+ for GM product. They wanted $119,700 for that Escalade. I told them no ******* way...that was the last straw for me.

You folks that put non-refundable deposits down are insane. Never, ever do that. A good dealer would never even entertain that. I really hope you get your rides but the dealer prin I know and spoke too said there is no end in sight and most likely will never see your car arrive exactly the way you built it. Please be sure if you put money down have the build sheet signed and it has every dam option you wanted or walk.

Kept my appointment at Benz dealer and ordered a new GLS 580. Keep sending everything to China Mary Barra, such an awesome ******* country!

I just bought a Denali DMax ultimate that shipped from Arlington complete this week, so they must have SOME chips available. My dealer said everything on the spec list was on the vehicle.. Power boards, Max trailer, Air suspension, etc... No Omissions...

Rear entertainment?

I heard there was a constant on ordering anything with it. Just curious. I held out and got it on mine.

Couple of observations - for those of you who put down "non-refundable" deposits - check with your state attorney general or consumer protection bureau, etc - verify if the state allows it, or if they must allow refunds. Also, check the paperwork you signed when putting down the deposit.

Next - I've seen no constraint on the rear entertainment screens, only the max trailering and air ride - both of which are only constrained, not Unable to Order.... that being said, it appears that 3.0 diesel Denali versions are starting to be produced with both options on them. (There may be other trims also, but I've strictly been watching Denali XL's)

If a vehicle is marked as "in transit" it's definitely not incomplete, sitting in a lot. Vehicle production status should be 4200 or greater (vehicle shipped)

That being said, orders for 21's close out at the beginning of May, so there's only a few weeks left to order.
