Sounds like it went as good as it could all things considered. With that said if it runs right in the next 400 miles you should be good. I was a transmission guy for many years for GM and thru the years they all need fixing. Even the 'basic' 4 speeds then 6 speeds then the super problematic 8 speed. The 10 speed is a solid performer based on my experience so far but like you said things just happen sometimes.

It won't affect residual at all. Enjoy it!

Buying a rebuilt 10r80 transmission from anyone is a shot in the dark. That includes GM. They should put a new one in it. I don't respect mine, but it hasn't exploded yet either. I also have the same transmission in my 2021 F150. It shifts much better than my 2023 Yukon Denali XL

6l80 was better than most but still failed regularly under 100k miles.

Why would a rebuilt 10L unit, assuming it was properly overhauled, be a shot in the dark?

I'm likely going to start rebuilding these transmissions within the next year so am interested to hear your reasons for saying that.
