My brother-in-laws 2022 Escalade's engine just blow the other night. Has anyone heard about this in other Escalades or is this one just a fluke?

I haven't seen anything around the internets that would indicate that this is a recurring issue on any of the engines and drivetrain configurations and combinations. I know it's no consolation but it might be a statistical outlier. What's the dealer and GM doing about it?

Bummer. Hope he gets it fixed and that’s the last of the problems.

I’ve seen two 2021+ Escalades broken down this year. One in downtown Asheville last spring with the flashers on getting hooked up to a tow truck, and the latest one just last week sitting on the side of I-64 in Norfolk with the hood up. In neither circumstance was the owner smiling.

Any idea of the build date of his Esky.

DFM Lifters likely the cause, but...could be something else too.

Hoping GM steps up and makes it good (as they should, given his Powertrain Warranty)
