We bought a new Tahoe High Country late in 22. Drivers side mirror started pointing up in the trees about 6 months after purchase. Dealership claimed they found no issue and stated we weren’t setting up the setting properly. Car was back to them in a few days with the same issue and they attempted to claim we weren’t setting it properly again until I told the service manager that his tech set it for me before we left. ( I suspected this may happen)They replaced the entire mirror. Shortly after that the passenger mirror started doing the same thing. Dealership replaces that mirror. Shortly after that the drivers mirror did the same thing. That mirror got replaced again. 5 trips for the same issue and the dealership quit taking my calls. I called GM and they suggested another dealership. This gets weird now. This dealership tells me the control board inside the door panel fell out when the removed the panel and it’s water damaged. (It’s been unplugged 5 times so I’m not surprised) They inform me that my warranty expired last month so it’s an $800 fix. I tell them this is definitely a warranty issue since it’s an ongoing problem. They also informed me that the Telematic module should be replaced because it’s going to go bad. (they all do) This items going to be $1,100 dollars. FOR A PART THAT HASN’T GONE BAD YET! I tell them I’m not paying to fix those mirrors. They tell me I’m not getting my car back until I pay the $214 for the diagnostic. I pay and call GM asking to get reimbursed for this $214 dollars they caused me to get charged by sending me to a different dealership. They tell me to kick rocks basically because I’m not getting that back since the vehicle is now out of warranty. To say I’m frustrated would be an understatement. This is a safety issue as well due to those mirrors being a critical part for safe driving. Help!
