I have a real hard time believing these figures as many here a happy to get 20 mpg with the 6.2. Is any of this backed up with real data, like miles and gas pumped?

There's a lot of variation in 6.2L equipped Tahoes/Yukons/Escalades. Mine is the 2018 Tahoe Premier RST has the L86 4x4 with the 10-Speed trans and has V8 and V4 mode. Escalades and Danali's with the same powertrain are heavier, the 2021-22 of all varieties are even heavier, but have multiple cylinder deactivation capabilities. I average 22-24 real MPG on highway trips between SoCal(LA Area) and Arizona or Las Vegas cruising with traffic around 80mph with a load 2-3 adult passengers and about 200 pounds of gear, 15 MPG around town, with a heavy foot. My 2015 Tahoe 5.3L with 6-speed trans got about 1-2 mpg less, same load, same routes, same speeds.
