I have 2023 Tahoe High Country.
A few hours after rainy weather or after a car wash my right mirror (360°) camera stops working.
May be it works once after the engine is restarted, but then the right camera blacks out, a camera error symbol appears and all camera pictures disappear. 4 to 14 days later, the right camera begins to flicker, about two hours later it works like new. The problem began after 2 month from new and got worse.
The right camera was replaced, the camera control unit was replaced. No success. Software is up to date. I was told the cables and connectors from the A-pillar through the door to the mirror camera were checked "ok".
They said, there might be a broken coaxial cable from behind the dashbord through the car to the trunk. I think this cable is in a dry area, how could this have anything to do with rain or car wash?
They want to replace this cable. The cable is in a thick harness and not easy to replace at all. A lot has to be dismantled.
This seems strange to me. Is this the right way?
Is the problem known to anyone?
It would be great if someone could help me.
Can someone explain to me how the camera network is structured?
