That’s how I’m trying to look at it. Planned on buying a junk core and building it myself as a backup but the truck decided to create the junk core for me

Replaced a couple of the steering wheel control switches with the Dorman ones from Rock Auto (the photo lighting is not great):

Easy enough to do these two: disconnect the negative battery cable, pop the airbag off and disconnect it, and use a small hooked pick to pull them out and release the connectors. Taking the airbag off gave me an opportunity to push the wires into the tunnels to help push the switches out of the cavity.

Finally got around to installing the Glenn's Auto Performance trans cooler kit. Definitely a big improvement over stock. Lines fit perfect. Cooler and brackets were all exactly the fitment I was hoping for.
