I didn't see this code mentioned anywhere in forums for the 3.0L. We have around 55k miles on it now and before today we have loved the engine. Wife was driving and the CEL came on and lost power. When I took it to the dealer I noticed the cooling fan was running 100% and they said they have never seen that code before.

Coolant control valve. These are popping up more and more now that this engine platform is getting more miles on it...

Apparently one of the valve actuators gets gummed up and can't properly control the coolant flow. The engine throws a code, reduces power and puts fans on at 100% to prevent overheating.

There's a thread on the Duramax forum where a member fixed this himself due to an excessive backorder on the valve - https://www.duramaxforum.com/threads/p1098-coolant-control-valve-fixed.1033931/

It should be covered under the powertrain warranty, which you are well within at 55K and ~1 year old...

That is what it was, we got it back Friday after they had to repair some dents that happened while they had it.

I have a similar issue but no Service engine light or computer error codes or fan issues (to my knowledge).
