If they take on the looks of the refreshed Sierra Denali front end I will be happy, that looks really sharp I think.

Either way, it's going to be a better product. It's already a great product so ground breaking changes are a risk.

I will say that the Expedition probably won't be due for a refresh until 2025 so 2024 may be a year where Ford really has to compete on price compared to GM products.

I haven't tracked the market as long as you guys have, but it appears as if GM does revisions on their full size SUVs first, and then their 1/2 ton pickups a year later. Ford appears to be the other way around where the F150 gets the revisions first and then some of it trickles down into their Expeditions.

I put in an order for a 2023 Yukon Denali back in early December, and the dealership got an allocation for it last week and put the order through. I just notified the dealer this morning that I want to cancel my 2023 order and await the 2024 refresh. The lease on my current Ram 1500 isn't up until May 2024, so I've got plenty of time to wait. I would kick myself for getting a 2023 and then it be refreshed later in the same year I take delivery.

If this is going to replace your Ram 1500 which you don't have to turn in until May 2024, I would wait for a MY24 GM SUV. Inventory is going to be better across the board.

Here's my 2024 Tahoe/Yukon/Suburban wish list:

- improved LED projector headlights (the F150 already has the hardware for adaptive headlights)
- improved infotainment system integration into the front dash (Yukon Denali's infotainment system is perfectly integrated into the front dash)
- a higher numerical ratio rear differential option for trailering/towing/performance
- improved seats (Ford's seats in higher trim 2023+ F150 and Super Duties are impressive)

... this is also my wish list for the 2025 Expedition refresh. The only thing that Ford has already done is the 3.73 rear axle option on the current Expedition. Ford's 15.5" infotainment system for the Expedition is a glitchy system and I would opt for the smaller screen.

GM Generally releases the trucks first, then SUV
For the T1x plaform, the trucks were 2019, SUV was 2021.
T1x MCE refresh, trucks were 2022, SUV is 2024
For the K2 platform, the trucks were 2014 SUV was 2015
For the GMT900 platform, truck was 2007 SUV was 2007 (SUV released Jan 2006, vs truck in fall 2006)
For the GMT800, trucks were 1999 SUV was 2000
For the GMT400, trucks were 1988 SUV was 1992
