Dealer I’m working with is the largest Tahoe dealer in Az. Problem is that GM hasn’t allocated a single z71 with the 3.0 in the entire country
It is ridiculous. My dealer complained early in the year about having way too many 2025 6.2 trucks instead of 3.0.
Seeing the recalls, and stop sales regarding 2021-2024 6.2's...They knew what was coming.

Why wouldn't GM throw the 3.0 in as many vehicles as possible right now!?

In case it's helpful, my dealer told me that at least this week, the constraint now is on Z71, RST, LT trims, not the diesel. I ended up going with 5.3 V8 for a variety of reasons which i described above and because the diesel i went to test drive before making my final decision had the check engine light come on, but once my Z71 got accepted i could've flipped it back to a diesel if I wanted to. Perhaps try calling other dealers to find one who is willing to officially submit an order for a Z71 even if they don't have an allocation for a Z71 specifically.

My dealer is expecting to get allocated 8 z71s this week so hopefully that means mine is one of them

The order has been officially submitted with GM for 5 weeks, order number and everything. GM just hasn’t accepted it because of the constraint. So hopefully that comes to an end

I'm ordering a 2025 Yukon XL AT4 w/ 3.0L LZ0, and I've been talking to 6+ dealers in Arizona since January trying to get agreement on pricing (using Supplier Discount, declining all dealer add-ons) and make sure I'm front of the line for an allocation. Order finally made it to "Your vehicle order has been accepted by GM and is working toward the production process" as of this evening - dealer said last week he thought my order got "picked up" but didn't actually get back to me with the order status code, and the GMC virtual agent was still saying "order not accepted" until today. I asked the live agent for the Order Status Event Code and they said they don't give them out... I'm assuming it's at 2000 but will have to try to pull that out of my sales guy this week.

In any case, after an incredibly long process, my order may finally be seeing some traction.

For those who have Target Production Weeks (order code 3000+) or have already taken delivery, how quickly did the order move from "Accepted" to getting a Production Week? I think I saw some posts saying 4-5 weeks, but am wondering if there's a chance to get hung up at this stage for another few months, or if that is (hopefully) lower risk. Waiting for the lucky roll of the dice for one of these dealers to get an allocation was already painful enough! Can't believe you can't just show GM the cash and have them build you a car!! Has forced a ton of conversations and negotiations with dealers over the last few months trying to get in a good position for an allocation... If anyone else is looking for Yukons in AZ, happy to compare notes on which dealers are stingy vs. reasonable on pricing, dealer add-ons, etc.
