21 Denali Front Plate Options

My wife purchased her 2021 Denali out of state (where no front license plate is required). Here in TX we are suppose to have a front plate... and while I've been driving without one for the last 5 years with zero problem... she's a rule follower.

So what options outside of the dealer drilling into the bumper have people found?

i havent had a front plate ever. (on any vehicle)
if you ever get a warning for it, deal w/ it then

The only thing worse than this is buying in a state that DOES require it and you don't want it! They will force you to have it on leaving the lot and mainly, I don't want my front bumper or fascia drilled for one. My state doesn't require it.....

I'm with you 100%... expect for the part where this is my wife's vehicle and she said "I don't care how it looks, I'm getting a front license plate... so either you figure it out, or I'll just bring it to the dealer and pay whatever they ask for their standard front plate mount/bracket etc."

On my past Euro cars I've gone no front plate, or tow-hook mounted plate.

I have not had a front plate in Texas starting in 1976 with my 280Z ( it would look goofy), my 911 Turbo ( hell no) , about 5-6 more cars/trucks until, I did cave in on my 2013 Tahoe. Prior to that I just carried the front plate with me and if I got stopped I would just show the Officer that i had it but I bought the car/truck and it did not have a front mounting bracket. They would always say " ok, but don't let me see you again with it not on " OK, officer. I know that will not hunt when it comes to your wife's car, so good luck.

If the dealer is in state that does not require a front plate, then he is an idiot for putting a mounting bracket on the car in the first place. Sometimes you can remove it without damaging the underlining paint , but a lot of times you still have the drill holes. If you ordered the car/truck you can specify that you don't want the bracket , just like you can tell the dealer not to put his logo on the back of your car or one of the license plate trims. if it already on the car and you are buying it off the lot ask for $$$ off for them being stupid enough to put one on in the first place, if he does not you're SOL.

Is there a license plate bracket that can installed where the tow hooks go? Was trying to search for one but no luck.
