22x10s on Yukon XL

So long story short ended up with a set of 22x10s yesterday with -18 offset with a set of 285/45/22 Terra Grapplers on there.

I know the offest is going to require triming which I'm fine with I just need to decide what level to go with to fit them on an otherwise stock Yukon XL. It's the wife's ride and it's clean so I don't want to hack it to pieces but not scared of trimming. We were going to do a BDS 4" but didn't really want to sink $3-4k into a lift plus I knew it would snowball at some point.. Coilovers, Move up to a 6", Gears, Bla Bla Bla. So here we are.



I'd like to stay with a 2" front only if possible but would do a 2.5/1 if necessary.

Anybody running a 22 with some offest on a leveled Yukon/Tahoe/Sub?

I’m running 22x9 31 offset with 1.25 wheel spacers so final setup is basically 0 offset. Running 305/45 tires. Minor rubbing on back of front wheel well turning in reverse.

My 17 Yukon XL has 22x10.0 ET0 with 305/45 Nitto TG2, I have just the front leveling spacers as I didn't want to disturb the ride by having to change front shocks etc, but I think I should have spent the money and got the Bilstein setup which is really the best route for the ride and function. I think it provides a 2.5 inch lift in the front, and I ended up also adding in a 1" spacer in the rear after I did the front spacers as the ride level sort of raked to the rear. As for rubbing and fender mods, I only had to cut some of the plastic on my running board end caps as they wrap into the fender well and took a sledge hammer to pound in some of the metal behind the lower fender liner. With the 285 tires you may not need to do too much modifying, my passenger side rubbed more than the driver side and that was only during lock to lock. I would not lift it too much as the 285 is a smaller tire than the 305 I am running, the look might be a bit off with the gap etc.

Not a T-rex, it was honestly a grill that I ordered on Amazon for just over $100.00, figured at that price I couldn't go wrong it if didn't work. It was a bit challenging to install, and it required that I cut out the original grill and use the surround support to fix this one, but it came powder coated in the textured finish and the bars are sturdy and the structure of the grill is very strong. I had my painter paint the grill surround and the fog light surrounds, and then cut out the grill center and fix in this one. I did it all in about a 1 week time period. My wife about had a Heart attack when she came home to our new truck with the front removed. LOL!
My wife knows I hate chrome, and I still had my old Burb to drive while I had the paint work done, so for the cost I think I made out pretty good. I am happy with the look and function, so no complaints.

For you guys that are doing the 2-2.5" front leveling kits, I strongly recommend getting the rear 1" spacers, they are simple to install and give the truck a more level look. Also, my rear compressor was driving me nuts, for some reason the thing was running constantly, I had no error messages or function issues, but the rake in the rear for some reason was causing the thing to run constantly, I put in the rear spacers and leveled up the rear a bit and all is good! As I mentioned above though, I should have spent the extra money and got the Bilstein setup all the way around, probably would have saved myself some hassle and maybe even have a better ride than the factory. Just a suggestion for those of you who are looking to do this mod. especially with a 22" setup or aggressive 20" tire setup.
