? that makes no sense at all? ok so lets put this in perspective , a 2dr tahoe would share a single cab short bed frame while the 4dr tahoe , EXcab silverado , suburban and crew cab models would share the same frame right?

I'm pretty sure my 1996 Silverado ext cab short bed is a little bit longer than my Yukon.

different drive types dictate different mount locations for the power train components as well as cab mounts and those can dictate needs for various means of support. there is always a possibility that some are similar in design in fact if i am reading my frame layout book correctly the only difference between a 4dr 4x4 and 4x2 it the torsion bar mount and the beam under the the engine compartment. everything else is identical down to the millimeter.

Had the 2500 bars on the 98 tahoe plow truck at my work, i believe it gave it more lift and better for the plow. But the ride with out the plow sucked, very stiff
