I vote for 24s and bags :read:

Check out this post, lost of good info. http://www.gmfullsize.com/forum/showthread.php?t=38799

I plan on bagging my tahoe down the road. I'll probably buy a KP 6 link and modify it to fit on the tahoe and up front I'll build something like whats in the post with the bags on top of the upper control arm. But I'll probably stick with 22s when I get around to bagging it. Its on 20s right now, but these SUVs are too big for 20s LOL, I used to think they were huge until I got a set. Now when I look at them it makes me sad a little :(

Good luck man, and if you want to hook someone up with a good deal on your old wheels shoot me a PM I'll give you a couple hundred for them :D

I just put 26's on my tahoe this past friday and i paid $2800 to the door. I went with the 305/30/26, but my truck is not a daily driver either. a friend of mind just swapped out his 305's for 295/25/26 so he can turn better. I have full turning ratio on my tahoe but he has a yukon denali xl.

Your also alot higher stance and a NBS, Roadrageor is an OBS with a drop.

After seeing that pic I don't know if the rims will tuck. I honestly think you are better off going with 24s, but thats all up to you man.

Good luck

Also Roadrageor the tires you currently have on you denali are ~28.3" tall (265/30/22). The tires on the truck above are 33.2" tall (305/30/26).

I mean your talking about a tire thats 5" taller than the tires that are currnetly on the denali. Even if you went with the 295/25/26 mentioned you will still have a 31.8" tall tire, thats not much sidewall at all for a truck that gets driven on the street.

26'' rims

What's the smallest rubber for a 26" rim that would still be safe to drive as a daily driver...is any body using smaller than a 305? How do you like them?

i have a 97 tahoe z71. mines is 4x4 which means the front wheels are offset more than the rear unlike the 4x2. i had 26's on my truck with no lift whatsoever. i ran 26x10 player wheels with lexani 305/30/26 tires. the sidewall on a 30 series 26'' tire is about the same as a 35 or 40 on a 24'' tire. so to answer your answer your question 30 series is fine for daily driving. hope u found this helpful

Did you read the post or even look at his truck? Hes got a drop, you are talking about running 26s on a stock ride height Hoe, thats completely different than a dropped one.

The tires you mentioned are 33" tall, the current tires on his truck are only 28" tall, your talking about a tire that 5" taller overall.

You can fit a 33 on an unlifted Tahoe, but do you honestly think they will fit on a lowered one?
