265/75/16 rubbing issue

I have a 00 OBS Z71 Tahoe . My truck came stock with 265's I'm having a rubbing issue when making tight turns , I have a 3" mark on both L and R lower control arms where contact is happening . My question is I had a 96 2door with 285/75/16 with no rubbng issue at all , has anybody had the same problem ? The front end is tight steering box has a lil play but nothing bad . Did a search with no luck . Thanks in advance

are the wheels the right offset, backspace and such?

Yes the wheels are the ones that came from the factory

perhaps the tire sidewalls are weak and very flexible allowing the contact in tight turns.
