285 vs 295 on the Z71

May I ask why you went with 295s?

They were super cheap on market place and hardly used. When they wear out or develop the usual BFG K02 sidewall cracks after 6 years I'll replace with 285/75/16 (32.8)

A man (I assume) after my own heart. If you have the time, money and interest, I suggest watching Marketplace for a body lift kit. You might be able to piece one together by recycling 2500HD body lift pieces. The point being that lifting the body might give you the clearance you need, without changing your steering angles. And it would likely look nice with the new, more agressive-looking tires. Why yes! I am TOTALLY trying to enable you...
