I see some people swap their benches and captains chairs. I ordered a new Denali since we were adding 2 more little ones to our family! Unfortunately, I ordered 7 weeks ago and found out the truck hasn't even started production and is atleast 6-8 weeks out.
My question is, how can I just order a bench from GM? Anyone know the cost?
I can't wait any longer and figure just buy one with the captains chairs this week and order a bench and hopefully it'll be herein a week or two..

You cannot order a bench assembly from GM. I had captains chairs and found a bench on ebay and went that route. Just make sure that if you have a tahoe/yukon you get a bench out the same vehicle. The XL/Suburban seats do not fit the tahoe/yukon and vice versa.

I have heated black bench in my Suburban. if you u are getting xl then i could swap. im in NY area

That's an awesome offer but I'm down in Georgia and any kinda road trip is out of the question for me...maybe someone down here looking to swap??

I got lucky enough to have the dealer swap a bench into the wife's escalade to have it in time for xmas (had one on order since mid november, they got a silver luxury in, but I wanted a grey premium). Might want to talk to your salesman. According to mine they're not supposed to do it, but I have the truck I want with the bench so I'm not questioning anything. Benches are VERY hard to find though.

I got back in touch with the Cadillac dealer I was using a few months ago before deciding on the Denali. He's supposed to look around and see if he can find any Escalade ESV's with the bench. I also have a Chevy dealer looking into Suburbans with the bench. There is a bench on eBay but holy crap its 4k!!!

Nope, Cadillac here has a bench from a recent trade-in and weren't willing to swap with captains chairs in a new ESV. Something about liability issues. I went back on eBay and bit the bullet. I ordered the bench yesterday after talking to my GMC dealer who has a black/black Denali for me.
jeetaa-veer! Appreciate the offer! Even with a half-way meet but we've got our hands full with a toddler and 2 newborns here! My wife would stab me if I took off for a 2-day drive!!

Try govdeals.com. Type TAHOE in the search bar. If there's an participating municipality close to you, you may be able to score a brand new second row bench seat for a reasonable price. When municipalities get new police Tahoe's they often pull out the second row and replace it with criminal (perp) seating. The second rows are unused and take up space so they put them up for auction. I scored my jump seat/console this way for ***cheap***.
Auctions change pretty often so keep checking.
