2nd to 3rd shift question

Hey guys new here and bought my first Tahoe. I've got a 02 5.3 4x4

So heres my issue, 1st to 2nd shift is normal, 2nd to 3rd is kinda weird. sometimes its shifts perfect other times it sometimes weird. not a slip but like its confused for just a millisecond. A friend of mine says his does the same thing. so is this normal?

Mine is doing the same thing. It seems to slip for a second and revs a bit. It's only above 3 maybe 4k rpm. If I'm gently cruising or full throttle it always shifts fine.
05 Z71 Tahoe.

There is a PCM reflash for that. My 03 does the same thing sometimes.

Well after some research theres no PCM reflash for my year tahoe HOWEVER there is a tsb i found while i was at the shop about cold weather shifting charactoristics. aparently its totally normal while the fluid is below 110 degrees to have that shift issue.thats probably why i dont have the issue after its been driven for a bit
