I've got a 2003 GMC Yukon (non xl) with the 5.3 and it's 2wd. I ordered some drilled and slotted rear brakes to match up with my fronts. Everything with the disc was perfect, and was even the same size as the previous factory's. My issue is the pads seem to be different. The sliders aren't the same and they look to be a couple millimeters bigger. Apparently these may have been for the 4x4 version and my 2wd rear brakes are a little different. Anyone else ever heard of this or did I just order the wrong pads? I'm debating on making a run to the junkyard and grabbing the rear calipers off of a 4x4 and not dealing with waiting and getting the right sized pads for mine (if this is the issue) since they are only $12.99 a piece there. Figured I'd ask here first to see if anyone else had a clue on this as I couldn't find it on the forums. Appreciate any insight!

I've heard of single piston vs dual piston on the rear, but never 2wd vs 4wd. I'm not following what you mean by sliders? The ears on the pads themselves that slide into the caliper bracket?

Yes the ears are a little different. I have dual pistons currently. I'm wondering if they just sent me the completely wrong ones, but after looking at the picture closely they do look the same so I feel they aren't the wrong ones

Will they not slide into the bracket? Maybe it was a machining mistake and you just need to try a different set or a new brand?

I can't post pics on here from my phone but the ears are very significantly different. The disc they sent me (they being 1A Auto) with the pads were a perfect fit though.

I found that they list different pads for 2wd vs 4wd.
2wd take a part number 974 variant, pic below

and the 4wd take a 975 variant, pic below

rotors are the same for both. Hope this helps.

Thank you, looks like I'll be ordering the 2wd pads. Partially my mistake for not fully reading the description and just assuming the "what fits your vehicle" selection was correct. I was in a hurry when ordering them online since I was on break at work.
