What’s the parts list look like for the suspension swap? It needs a full front end rebuild with new bushings. Were the strut bushings replaced? Are the sway bar bushings the originals?

Differential support brackets, steering gear bushings. With that milage you need to address those items regardless. Why not service the missed maintenance first? You may stumble upon your problem. Don’t forget to cross check replacement parts with the Hummer H3 parts bin for free upgrades.

I have a 2011 yukon denali and I noticed the same skipping when making U-turns.for a while now. I took it to a shop and they told me it was a bad wheel bearing but ever since that I avoid completely locking the steering wheel left or right and making three-point turns instead of u-turns just to be safe

Sounds reasonable to start with a fluid change for the TC. The holidays have already drained most of my budget.

Is there a specific identifier that will tell me what type of TC is on the vehicle, so I can specify the correct fluid? I know shops can source this kind of thing, but I suppose it's for my own piece of mind so I know what to expect when the mechanic tells me.
I had a repair shop change the TC case fluids. The local GM dealer was able to specify and provide the correct TC fluid. Warning - this fluid is not cheap (compared to trans fluid, etc.) but obviously not a place you want to substitute. Good luck.

Order the fluid on amazon and ebay. Nothing is ever cheap at the stealership.

Auto TracII is about $10 a quart, ACDelco Dex VI about $8 a quart. The TC only holds 2.5 quarts so it’s not much difference, $25 vs $20. What did they charge you?

Hey, up here in Canada Land, about $110 for the container ( plus friggin tax). It was after Covid hit, so I couldn’t go across the line and buy in WA

Auto-Trak II fluid is now in the TC. Going to go for a 40min highway drive tomorrow. The fluid that came out was black with a very slight hint of Blue.

Ran errands for a couple of hours today... city driving doesn't typically cause any binding/knocking/jumping, so it was inconclusive if the fluid change made any difference.

I'll report back tomorrow.

Regardless of the outcome, I just wanted to thank everyone that provided information. The power of collective input never fails to surprise me. You all rock!

Maple syrup might be a cheaper alternative. (LOL - Just joking folks...)

Hmmm... Wait! That may be an interesting experiment for someone to test on a beater that is already on the way to the crusher.
If I just made someone a Youtube millionaire, you're welcome.

Merry Christmas and have a great holiday season!
