The heavy duty tow package K5L includes, tranny cooler, heavy duty cooling system (wonder what parts are upgraded?), and the 3.42 gear ratio.

Just got a couple quotes from the dealer:

-250.00 for tranny cooler installed

-2800.00 for front and rear 3.42 or 3.73 with reflashing the ecu.

Little more then i was expecting...they did say the tranny cooler is must even if you never tow anything bc these 6spd trannys shift so much....

Found a transmission/gear shop that will do it for just under 2000.00 with Yukon gears.....

But again i only have 9000 miles on my truck.....think the dealer would now if i ever had to go in for warranty work???

Been trying to find the factory parts for the swap but i can seem to find them anywhere....any ideas?

Yukon gears are fine as far as quality, it's more a question of the ability of the installer. No way I would have anyone without plenty of axle experience do this. I've done it, and it's a royal PITA. Experience will get the proper pattern on the teeth fastest, and anyone without experience and/or a lot of patience will screw it up and you'll end up doing it over (do follow the break-in recommendations). The dealer should not care about warranty, they will not warranty the work unless they do it and it should not affect the rest of your warranty. If you'll be towing a lot of weight, you may want to consider 4.10's (your transmission will thank you), otherwise 3.73's will be fine.
