I have an 09 yukon and i just put 3.73's in it. They still suck!! I had 3.42's before. The only difference i noticed is that it no longer switches between 5th and 6th. I would like to know what 4.10's feel like!!

Yeah that is not enough difference in gear ratio to notice. Are you going to switch to 4.10s?

Both. Usually over 50 mph i can hear it. I just spoke to them again now and they are going to order OEM gears from the dealer and try it again.

I'm not sure yet. I would like to get this first issue resolved. How do you like the 4.10's?

Blazed, im sure you're planning this, but now that you got your AutoCal you may want to get your tune and try that first. Really will make a ton of difference.

Yea I am macho but as much city driving as I do and as aggressively as I drive the 3.08s aren't for me.

I test drove a 4.10 and other Tahoe (not sure what the ratio was though) back to back. There was a noticeable difference which lead to my purchase. Seems like my mileage is a littler better than non 4.10s which others attributed to getting up to speed with less effort, 4 cylinder mode kicking on more often, and just being in the sweet spot power band wise. Keep in mind that I have the 4L60E tranny.

Have you tried a gear calculator to ensure you get the gearing you want for your tire size and expectations?
