Seeing that the 275/65/20 seems to fit without a leveling kit...do you think I could get by with a 295/60/20 all terrain tire (probably nitto TG G2)? I plan to run a 2.5/1" level kit. If the 295 won't work I was planning on a 285/60/20 Toyo OC ATII.
I just had 285/60/20 Duratracs installed a few days ago (pics coming soon, I promise). I'm leveled and haven't experienced any rubbing yet, but is super tight, and I'm sure I'll get a rub with the right combination of an uneven road and a tight turn. If you are comfortable trimming your fender liners than I'd guess you could squeeze in the 295s
I would be running stock wheels as well. It's hard to tell without trying the 295s and have no way of test fitting.I have a 17 Sierra Denali on a 2.5/1 RCX level and I am running the 33x12.5x22 Nitto Ridge Grappler and I get rub at full lock on the sway bar. I would think it is going to be damn near impossible to run a 295/60/20 on your vehicle and not rub. That is essentially a 34" tire. Now it is over an inch narrower than what I am running so maybe you don't get quite the rub. I am running stock wheels on these tires so I would ignore what the shops are telling you. I know I would.
