Im planning on putting 315/70r17s on my 06 tahoe z71. Everything is stock on it but Im also planning on getting a six inch lift. Is there anything else I would need like spacers or anything?

I won’t be using the stock wheels, my brother has 16x8-12 offset rims he’s gonna sell to me so those are the ones I’ll be usingI'm thinking that a 315 tire width may be too wide for a stock rim width, at least as per the tire manufacturer's specifications. When I installed my 305/50x20 Michelin Defenders on my stock 20 x 8.5 rims, Michelin stated that that was the widest tire that they would specify for an 8.5 rim width.
Perhaps, other tire manufacturers have different specifications for minimum rim widths for 315 tires. I recommend that you research this a bit (in addition to discussing it on the Forum), just to be sure.
sorry took me forever to reply, never got a notification. only thing is slightly trimmed plastic thats it with a crank. i have some 2 inch rear spacers but havent installed them. going a different routeWhat modifications have you done to this to make those 315s fit?
