4.10s installed but some problems

i got the 4.10s installed, it seems to drive fine and it chirps 2nd gear but when i let off the gas at about 50mph and it feels like something is gonna break in the trans or rear end, like it down shifts really bad an the whole truck shakes... is this cause it hasnt been tuned for the new gears?

id take it back to the installer and tell him whats going on. let him drive it with you in the truck to show him.

I took it to a new tuner and he was saying the converter is locking up thats why its acting weird, so i gotta get it retuned and the stall is too high for my setup but he can work with it... Hes been doing this for over 20years so i trust him

so did you do the front and rear? and what all did they replace as far as the just the gears or anything else, and what it cost you?

So like how the 4.10's pull now? :)

well i just ran my jet chip programmer 4 on my pcm and changed the tire size and the gear ratio but nothing else. My truck seems to drive fine now so idk if i should get it retuned lol

and i havent really got on it yet but it feels faster..

I Got F&R 4.10 ring and pinion with bearing kits for F&R for $590

I'd really like to re-gear mine,

good is you'll launch off the line quicker with taller tire size
bad is if you do a lot of highway driving your RPM's will be higher
I have 4.56's with 305/35/24 tires and I actually increased MPG even though going 65 its at 2300 RPM

if you can do the install yourself and you don't have your entire diff blown up its fairly cheap to do
