This is great info here! I have been wondering how the lower control arm will be relocated and what will happen with the CV axle. Does all of that come with the Rancho kit?

Rancho discontinued this lift kit for the Tahoe... The lower control arm is relocated with the bracket. The Diff is also lowered and the axles have spacers too.

Any reason you kept your stabilizer bar connected? On my old leaf spring Wrangler I took it off with impressive articulation results. I just took it off my current Yukon as a first step towards improving off road capabilities. Just curious your thoughts.

I removed the front sway bar about a year ago for a couple reasons.
1. Broke 3 sets of front connecting links in a year. Two in the rear.
2. More articulation off road.
3. Suspension moves more freely giving a softer ride on and off road.

For now I am still running the rear sway bars.

I was trying to find the Rancho kit, but couldn’t... makes sense now. ;)

Good to know you opted to remove the sway bar. I’m tempted to remove the rear to see the benefits off road.

Thanks for the info!

I had the front and rear removed at the same time but, it was too uncomfortably loose for me when on the highway.

@Tozan Very nice man, I think we all recognize that your rig has a harder job than the rest of ours. Glad to see she's still putting in work.

That being said, in a world of brand new Broncos and other various $60k+ "off road" rigs.. what words of wisdom would you give to someone who is looking to get their foot in the door but is being held back by fear of enormous car payment or not trusting an older gmt800/900 SUV rig?

Seems the people I know that want to start their own rig always jump straight to something ungodly expensive or equally unreliable and are not convinced of my unwavering faith in the gmt900 SUVs for their reliability and affordability.
