hey all,
sorry in advance for my TYF amateurism & if this isn’t the right forum for my topic to bring my truck shame in. i doubt there even is a proper forum to discuss what to do with 48 codes. so here goes, any help would be appreciated tenfold. even more idk. a lot.
so i own a heaping metal hunk of junk that i love & it’s a 2007 gmc yukon denali 6.2… i love this truck more than any other ice owned because i brought her back from the dead .
moving along now - i’ve graduated way past the get her running stage to now it was time to hook up a dreaded obd & see what all those DIC messages were about. so i anticipated some work but not 48 codes worth of it. most of which i presume are results of one another. (i.e.- when i changed my o2 sensors - 8 codes disappeared with them… knock sensors, mainly fuel codes, gas cap, etc etc etc. ) so maybe im ignorant to the electrical/computer aspect of things but i hope im correct. but even if i am i haven’t a clue where to start.
i’ve got A TON of short to ground, short to battery codes. now on my specific computer i don’t believe i have a way of seeing whether or not these are new codes or history codes… for what it’s worth - i have never cleared them or attempted an ECU reset since having the truck myself. so i would be inclined to believe many could be history from previous owner… i could post all of them but idk if any of you want to go thru each one lol. id be elated if you did. but by no means am i able to pay a fair wage right now lol
so ill post some of the mildly / extremely concerning ones first. please give me thoughts / your suggestions / experiences / knowledge / wisdom / prayers / etc etc
actually i can attach a file. i’m new here. forgive me. ill do that.
Tia!
