On this tranny, you have a weath of info if you can get a scan tool attached to it. If it is a slip, you will have a check engine light on as it has an effect on emissions. Tranny codes usually come up in the 700 or 1700 ranges. The scan tool will allow you to see the ms it takes for the trans to shift gears. The slip may be in the overdrive but that is only a guess without seeing the vehicle. Good luck with it.
