i was on craigslist and came across this and thought someone here might be interested. link for pics.

http://hudsonvalley.craigslist.org/pts/1360270012.html

i might be selling the silverado ss but before i do i would like to try and cash in some performance parts i have bought but never installed.

-brand new 2800 stall torque converter. kevlar lockup clutch. paid 450 plus shipping for this. this is good for engines up to 500 hp. it is also 4 pounds lighter than stock for more power to the wheels. this converter comes with a full ONE YEAR WARRANTY. not a cheap 90 day that most of the converters come with. that alone tells you that is built with quality!
High Performance Torque Converter

New Bearing

Closer Tolerance

New Burnished Hub

Cleaned Mounted Surface

Verifed Pilot Size

New Lock-up Clutch

Upgrade Turbine Hub

Reinforced Mounting Hub

Insured Thread Conformance

Reinforced Impeller Hub

Reinformed Dampners

Highest Quality Welds

Balanced

Brazed Impeller

Brazed Turbine and Steel Splines

-transgo hd2-c performance shift kit (includes springs, boost valve, EVERYTHING)

-TCI .490 boost valve

-beast sunshell

-heavy duty transmission cooler (plate and fin style) brand new atleast twice the size of the stock cooler

-gm chrome deep transmission pan (2 quarts more than stock pan)

-sonnax forward pinless aluminum (not cheap plastic) accumulator piston

i would like to sell the whole kit as a package deal this way someone can get a slamming price on a full transmission performance upgrade. figure $475
for this whole package (thats what i paid for the torque converter alone and about half of the total amount spent on this package)

all these parts are brand new and ready to go. they will fit 4l60e and 4l65e transmissions found in gm chevy silverado 2x4 4x4 awd escalade sierra denali etc. doing this upgrade will not only increase transmission life but will also take between .75 to one full second off 1/4 times.

i can only fit 4 pics on here but everything is packed and ready to get installed!

Wow way to dig up the past :)

It seems strange that you don't have a SC or turbo and you are breaking built 4l60e's? Are you taking it to the track?

No track use yet. I can't keep one in long enough to get to the track. Maybe some grudge matches on the street.

Built 65 will hold boost+cam around 500ish whp but it all depends on the driver.

Then someone isnt rebuilding your tranny properly or cheap parts are being used. Are you breaking hard parts (sunshell, planetaries, etc) or burning through clutch packs? A properly built 4l60(5)e will hold up to your mods with no problems.

...while the 60 has four pinion planets, for those wondering.
Also, I believe the 65 has a hardened sungear, input shaft, and output shaft.
The rest of the internals are basically the same and the outside is exactly the same as well.
