Has happened before, but was able to shift out after a few tries

This morning, it froze again, but it hasnt been able to shift out of park yet.

Its like the brake isnt registering that its depressed to the tranny so that it will shift

any help is appreciated

Thanks

could that cause the issue even if the brake lights are still functional?

Doesn't Matter
If they are on the same switch, then the problem lies between the switch and the transmission. Loose wire?

we just pulled the actuator out of the steering column, no more brake pressing needed to shift
