Never thought this would happen to my Tahoe again after the first 3 times but guess what! It did, well let's get into the issue I'm having well first off I noticed that before this started to happen the truck started to feel a little jerky in its transmission (it's also leaking transmission fluid) and that the tachometer has been very jumpy its goes up and then drops (not even doing hard accelerations it's also happens when parked) and now to what happens. Well this very morning at around 6:00 AM I started my car up so it could warm up, but when I started the engine I didn't hear any weird noises or anything just the normal start up 5.3l V8 engine sound! And when I entered the vehicle I saw the traction control light was on and I pressed the traction control button to make sure I didn't accidentally press it or something! But I was wrong it didn't go back off and I shrugged it off because I didn't think it would be this issue again. So I started to drive and by the time I got down the street the truck started to chime at me so I looked down at the tachometer and I couldn't belive my eyes! I saw: Service Stabilitrak, Service Traction Control, and the check engine light was flickering like there was no tomorrow! So my enitial thought was S****!!!! So as the car did before the truck felt like it had no power, the tachometer was moving up really slowly like I was just tapping the accelerator, the truck was also smoking LIKE crazy, and not to mention when the car hit first gear it jumps back like I was hit by someone! And to remind you that the car is taken care of perfectly and vehicle was washed and waxed the day before this incident occurred! And the fact that I've owned this 07 Tahoe for as long as I can remember and it's also a AWD 07 LS equipped with Chevy 5.3l V8 and someone please help us figure out what the issue is again!

I've noticed on mine, there are times when the throttle seems a little off; like it will lurch forward with almost no throttle pressure or lag when I'm trying to get on it with the gas pedal. Would be interesting to hear what the rest of the forum thinks.

Check with the dealer on ecm updates or tsb's. I would also check the mass air flow sensor. That may have something to do with the surging. Mine was doing the same and I replaced it no more surging. Last I also seen here there is a way to reset the electric gas pedal.
At this point I would be trying anything.

Just out of curiosity how old is the battery? I've seen some pretty messed up stuff occur when a battery is failing.
