I have a 2001 tahoe and my front axels wont engage. The transfer case shifts, The front drive shaft turns, and the front actuator is functioning but the front wheels still wont engage. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Well if everything you say is functioning is functioning you would have no problem... Check the front actuator thats a common problem and sounds like the likely culprit

I pulled the front actuator out and the center piston pushes out and retracts.

The right drive shaft have a pin that holds the shaft in place in center of the disconect assembly. Have you tried to jack up the car and push the plunger and se if the diff are enganged? If the pin are broken you vil not manage to engage .

Same issue...

I have the exact the exact same issue with my 2000. I was hoping someone could point me in the direction of a 4X4 step by step thread to diagnose or give me an idea of where I can start. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
