Now to my new issue mostly with just questions.
So my front actuator is apparently bad and was poping the fuse labeled 4wd I think it's number 24. So I unplugged the actuator replaced the fuse. When I turn the key on all 3 lights come on then go out. We'll I put the truck in neutral and held the 2 hi button the lights blinked a few times xfer case shifted out of 4lo. None of the indicators are lite so I'm just assuming it's in 2hi. Am I supposed to have lights lite to indicate what mode I'm in if so what issues do I possibly have.

So I read elsewhere I should be happy I got it to shift as its probably one of the main electronics for the transfercase. Something about the encoder or the control module is still capable of telling the motor to shift but they are on thier last leg. So it's not displaying anything to indicate what mode it's in.

not matter which mode you are in you should have an indication. even in 2wd. you can test the switch assembly and harness t determine if the switch assembly is broke or the control module may be at fault.

Had a similar issue, switch would only light up with slight pressure, took it apart and resoldered the three prong power input and now it works fine, try that, mine had broken solder joints

I'll check that soon as I'm done with this 2000 2500 chevy truck. Owner is supposed to be picking up a motor today for it. I've been so busy I haven't been able to touch it and I really only have a few hrs today before work.
