Just keep the donor transmission and converter together, and also the engine side of the converter has 3 bolts that will bolt up with the flywheel of your 5.3.

I read the first sentence of that link and I heard glass shatter somewhere back in my memories..... then I remembered the six million dollar man further back in the memories lol. Cant tell you what I did last week though.
