Got a inch or so of snow this morning and was finally got to try out the 4x4. I was in a parking lot and went full lock to full lock and played around a bit. On and off the power and just creeping. All was normal. I have a hard time believing it was the wheel bearing. It was just noisy not loose. For now I am going to say case closed but will watch carefully in the future.

If anyone has had and issuer that they fixed similar to this please post.

Hell Ive had them hubs loose as a goose and even one decided to have a faint high pitched whine and then a few weeks later she was loose as a goose. Its all a matter of the quality of the hub AND if they are torqued properly. 177ft lbs on that axle nut.

Just wondering if that ended up being the fix? End of problem? Just looking at a 2012 Yukon. Put in in 4x4 in driveway and it doesn't seem to want to move quite so freely.

the op has not been seen in 2 1/2 years, so probably.
might be a good idea to start your own thread instead of resurrecting one from 2017.....

when I am turning the 4x4 starts to bind now. Didn't do this before. Has anyone ever came across this ? And what did you do to fix it.
Check your tires for exact same size, brand, and wear. Tires that have different rolling diameters will cause binding on hard surfaces. If you have any of the above mentioned disparities, move 1 front tire to the back, and back to front on ONE (driver or passenger) side only and see if your problem goes away. If it does, get a new matched set of rubbers, or only use 4wd on slipper surfaces.

And.......I didn't look at the date. Well, here's his solution, whether he needs it or not. :2cents:
