please explain this door handle button.

I broke off the post that sticks out of the side of the dash (right around the fuse panel door) so it is no longer compressed when the door shuts. Thus the truck thinks the door is always open.

They quit always being on. Not fixed. Ill tear into the dash tomorrow or sometime this week.

I see this is an old post but I have a question, I removed the dash, engine and all the engine transmission harness, but I have failed to document where these plugs go. As you can see they come out of the dash harness into the engine compartment. It starts and runs just fine but the 4X4 service light is on and the push button is not lit and when pushed nothing happens that's what makes me think it has something to do with the 4X4.
